Propylene Glycol Monostearate (PGMS)










Used in ice cream, shortening, margarine, bakery products, condiments, breads, and dairy products. It's an emulsifier that improves texture, controls ice crystal formation, and extends shelf life.
It's also used as a dispersing aid in non-dairy creamers, a crystal stabilizer in cake shortenings and whipped toppings, and an aeration increaser in cake batters, icings, and toppings.
PGMS also uses in personal care products.
